Community Assistance Program Header

THE APPLICATION WINDOW HAS CLOSED!

The City of Oxford is accepting community assistance applications from nonprofits serving Oxford residents.

Organizations that have received assistance in the past will no longer receive an automatic award of the same dollar amount each year. The City Council has decided to return to a more competitive review process. 

Eligible organizations:

  • 501(c) 3 nonprofit organizations
  • Serving residents of the City of Oxford

Funds may be used for both operational and capital expenses. 

Applications are due August 25th by 5 PM 

Organizations should complete the Community Assistance Program Application below. You will draft a letter of request for each program that you are seeking funding for, and attach all requests at the bottom of the Community Assistance Program Application. Use this template to create the letter. Programs should run between January 1st and December 31st, 2026. Please keep each letter to no more than two pages. Agencies may upload requests for multiple programs.  

Note: the application cannot be saved, so we recommend completing your letters of request and gathering the requested documents before beginning your application. 

Applications must include the following to be submitted in the portal:

  • Last fiscal year's financial statement, including total revenue and total expenses
  • Current and immediate past year budget
  • Most Recent financial audit
  • Roster of Board of Directors 
  • Most current 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt letter
  • Agency's organization chart
  • Program request letter(s). One letter per program - use this template. 

A subcommittee of our City Council will review applications in September and make recommendations for funding to the full City Council. Awards will be voted on in November, and funds will be distributed in January 2026. 

A final report showing the performance of any grant award will be due in January 2027.
